Region "N" Wanderer Plaque Guidelines (Revised 4/19/2005)

  1. (NEW) The time of award of the plaque should be towards the beginning of the meeting. If you are going to capture the plaque, you should be there by the published start time of the meeting or event. Additionally, you should take a copy of the Map quest shortest route from Chapter hometown to Chapter hometown to help with mileage verification.

  2. (NEW) The hosting Chapter Director has final say and will award the plaque based on these rules, fairness, honesty and integrity and what is in the best interest of GWRRA and its members.

  3. The Chapters capturing the plaque will have their Chapter designation engraved on a plate to be attached to the plaque. These will be mailed as soon as possible to the Chapter with the plaque.

  4. The Chapter Director holding the plaque must have it available for capture at any scheduled activity of the Chapter to which the GWRRA membership is invited.

  5. A minimum of 5 GWRRA full or associate members, or booster supporters representing a Region N Chapter are required to capture the plaque.

  6. Each person representing a capturing Chapter must have their membership paid up to date and must present their GWRRA membership card when requested.

  7. It is the responsibility of the host Chapter Director to check each GWRRA card to make certain that each one is current, and that all of the capturing participants are members of GWRRA.

  8. The Capturing Chapter must travel a minimum of 50 miles to qualify. A Chapter from out of state has priority over any in-state Chapter as long as the 50 mile minimum is met. The Chapter traveling the longest distance wins.

  9. The Chapter Director of the capturing Chapter must report their possession of the Wanderer Plaque as soon as possible to Region N Webmasters, Dennis & Kristen Weston by email (Click on Name) or call at 757-463-4429 and advise them of the location and the next Chapter activity where the plaque is available for capture.

  10. The object of the Wanderer Plaque is to encourage Chapter-to-Chapter visitation. The method of transportation is not a factor in this program.

  11. Two different Chapters must possess the plaque before a Chapter may repeat.

  12. Any card-carrying GWRRA member, associate, or booster may represent a Chapter without regard to their status on District, Regional, or other staffs.

  13. As soon as all the plates on a plaque are filled, a drawing will be held from among the capturing Chapters and the winner will have permanent possession of that Wanderer plaque. The Wanderer program for that plaque will end and a new one will begin at the Chapter now holding the previous plaque.
