Hello, we are Tommy and Pam Meador. We are honored to serve you as Leadership Trainers for the Appalachian Region of GWRRA. We are excited about teaching and training the membership, officers and leaders within this great organization!

We met at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. Pam grew up in the ‘deep south’, living in Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama. Tommy was born in Roanoke, Virginia and has lived in the Roanoke and Franklin County area of Virginia most of his life.

We were married in 1968 in Dothan, Alabama. During the years that Tommy’s was in Army, we lived in Newport News, Virginia, Savannah, Georgia and Pam lived in the Roanoke area while Tommy served our country in Viet Nam. We now live in Hardy, Virginia.

We have one daughter, a wonderful son-in-law and 3 beautiful grandchildren, who currently live in Charlotte, N.C.

We have been members of GWRRA since 1995, and attended district and Wing Ding Rallies before we but become involved with our local chapter (Roanoke -VA-K) in 2000. We have served GWRRA as the Chapter Couple of the Year, Chapter (Rider) Educator, Chapter MA Coordinator, VA District MA Coordinator, VA District Rally Media Coordinator and Virginia Leadership Trainers. We are Certified LTD instructors, both Level 4 Certified Tour Riders and Road Captain.

We enjoy traveling in our motor home and usually haul one of our bikes along with us. We now have a 2003 Candy Red GL1800A Gold Wing, a 2000 White/Gray/Green GL1500SE Gold Wing with a Friendship III California Sidecar, a 1989 Yamaha FJ 1200, a Fire Engine Red 2002 Honda VFR Interceptor and a 1987 Honda Magna 750 with a Friendship California Sidecar. We both enjoy riding and driving our motorcycles.

When we have a little extra time we enjoy other hobbies. Tommy loves to design and make furniture and other wood working projects. Pam enjoys several types of needlework, sewing, quilting and her new love of computerized machine embroidery. She also loves to bake and decorate wedding and decorator birthday cakes.

Tommy is an Electronic Technician. He is retired from Ingersoll Rand, after 28 years with the company. He now is the Maintenance Lead Supervisor at Johnson’s Controls International in Roanoke, Virginia. He enjoys his ‘fun’ part time job is as an Instructor for Evergreen Safety Training Program as a Sidecar/Trike Instructor and as MSF Motorcycle Rider Coach.

Pam has worked for over 20 years in Dental office management and the Director of Virginia District Women’s Ministries for the Church of the Nazarene for over 15 years. She is now employed at Professional Therapies Inc., a physical therapy office in Roanoke, Virginia.

We look forward to working with Leadership Training in Region N. Please feel free to contact us with questions, ideas and suggestions on how we can serve you.
