Mitzela is from Bugaba, Panama and Kyle is from Warrenton, Virginia. They met in Panama City, Panama in January 1989, and started their partnership several months after their first meeting. They have 4 children: Felix (18), Thomas (16), Charles (10), and Leelany (7) from their marriage, and Kyle’s older daughter Anjanette and 2 grandsons Kelan (7), and Keion (4). Mitzela presently is a stay at home mom and a student at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has worked in the past as an interpreter, accounting clerk, official document translator, and prescription mail-order clerk. Kyle works at the Womack Army Medical Center, Ft. Bragg, NC, as a Civil Engineering Technician with the Facility Management Branch. Felix graduated from high school in June 2009 and is now a licensed motorcycle rider. Thomas is a National Honor Society scholar and a third year JROTC Cadet. Charles & Leelany along with Thomas are all AB Honor Roll students. The family joined the GWRRA and the Cape Fear Wings in March, 2002. Kyle had been on chapter staff for several years having served as Ride Coordinator, Chapter Webmaster, and Chapter Educator. Mitzela has served the chapter as Birthday & Anniversary Lady, Chapter Educator and is a dedicated chapter supporter. Mitzela and Kyle were selected as the 2005-2006 North Carolina District Educators of the Year. Earlier, in 2005 Kyle became a Seminar Presenter and has taught RE Seminars at Chapter, District, Region levels and at several Wing Dings. In 2007 Mitzela & Kyle were asked to join the North Carolina District Staff and have served as the Assistant District Educators and Motorist Awareness Educators. Their responsibilities were preparing the District Rider Education Activity Reports and Motorist Awareness Reports for the District. Kyle assumed the position of Seminar Presenter Coordinator for the District in January 2009 with the responsibility for all RE Seminar Presenters and Seminars taught in the North Carolina District with the exception of the North Carolina District Rally. In 2009 Mitzela & Kyle were asked to assume the District Educators position, which they accepted. Kyle purchased his first Gold Wing (Yellow Eagle One) in April 2002.
