Alan and Carolyn Little reside in Oakboro North Carolina, about 30 miles east of Charlotte. They have been members of GWRRA and Chapter NC-T2, Lake Tillery Wings, in Albemarle since November of 2002. They have served T2 as Assistant Chapter Directors, Motorist Awareness Coordinators, Recruit and Retention Coordinators and Sunshine Lady. They were Chapter Couple of the Year in 2007 and served North Carolina as the 2007/2008 District Couple of the Year.

Other than GWRRA, they are active in their church, families and personal hobbies. Alan enjoys lawn work and home improvement projects and Carolyn delights in planning those projects for him. Alan is a big NASCAR fan. Carolyn’s hobbies include scrap-booking, reading, and traveling. Both enjoy riding their black 2002 GL 1800, a bike with a bit of NASCAR history. They purchased the bike from a local dealership after Kyle Petty’s Ride Across America. Their bike was driven by retired NASCAR driver, Lake Speed. The inside truck lid holds autographs by drivers Lake Speed, Steve Parks and Ken Schrader.

They have been married 39 years and have two daughters and sons-in-law and five grand-daughters. Both their daughters and their families live within 25 miles, so they see them often and look for opportunities to spoil the grand-daughters every chance possible.

Alan is retired from the Air Force / NC Air National Guard as Senior Master Sergeant and from the Stanly County Board of Education. He still works for the school system technology department under contract keeping their computers in working order. He averages working about three days a week. Carolyn is Tax Listing Supervisor in the Personal Property Division of the Stanly County Tax Office.

The Littles are Level IV Master Tour Riders. They have made so many friends through GWRRA over the years and look forward to building more friendships in the years to come. They feel blessed to be a part of this organization and look forward to being ambassadors for Region N and the opportunities that come with being Region Couple of the Year.
